Squealing noise when going over 2000rpm
Good Day all,
I have a 1998 Chevy 1500, Cheyenne, 5.0L engine (with A/C), 225,000km and everytime I drive and go over 2000rpm it starts squealing and gets louder as I get higher RPM's.
I've juste changed the Idler Pulley (A/C), Tensionner, Serpentine Belt and the Water Pump and still does it...I was thinking also the alternator pulley or the Power Steering Pulley/pump...Has anything like this has ever happened to anyone?
Thanks for your insight...
I would also appreciate if you had any tricks that could help me determine if it is the alternator or the power steering, like spray some oil in there or something else of that nature....
Pat

Does it only make the noise when U go down the road ? If not you can cut a hose and put it on different places on the engine. let someone hold the RPM's up to let it make the noise. be careful not to stick to hose where it will get caught in something
