well if you can't find it any wear ,go back to were you bought it and try to talk to the service manger to see if he can help you buy the vin number or just have it replaced with a new aftermarket drawtite hitch with the correct capacity that you need ,and don't take a chance .

Thanks guys for trying to help me out. I happen to be a Honda tech for a dealership. We also have GM and Mazda in the same building. And of course I catch alotta heat cuz im a Honda tech driving a GM. I used to own a Ridgeline but decided id rather have a real truck..haha.
anyhow. .. the hitches I install on the 08-11 Ridgeline and Pilots are class 3 with a tow capacity of 5k only and 500 tongue weight. Thats why I think I have a factory class 4 hitch. But just wanted to double check. Can't seem to confirm my hitch class. Ive even talked with the GM techs and none of them know for sure. different people tell me diff things...just not sure. From a techs stand point.... my brain is wired to have to know for sure.
Again. ..thanks to all. This is my first GM vehicle. ...ive always been honda n toyota Guy.

pretty sure class III is only 6000lbs. Gm factory hitches have a sticker that says the class rating. Some fleet trucks are not hitch equipped from factory so it may be an add on. pm me the last 8 of the vin and I'll verify what the factory options were.

I looked it up. Surprisingly, the class wasn't listed in the build sheet. This truck is tow ready from the factory...trans cooler, brake controller so it should be the factory hitch and should pull what ever the truck towing capacity listed in the owners manual. I'll pm you the list and you can see if its the same as what you had printed.
