seat of the pants.....grabbed drivehsaft with both hands and jerked around on it. Called guy at tire shop and he said he would rebalance tires...sounded like the tires to him....but have not got around to that yet because it is back in the tranny shop and that was just rebuilt about 4 months ago!!

Have you checked the front hub bearings on your truck?

If it didnt do it before you got the tires replaced, I go with getting them rebalanced before you start lookin at parts. I've had the same problem before

rule of thumb is if its in the seat then its more than likely from the rear of the vehicle, personally I'd pull your rear driveshaft and move the ujoints around. I wouldn't be surprised if 1 of them is seized up or has a spot that catches

Tires is another likely cause but you actually need equipment for that, driveshaft just simple tools and you'd rule out a factor

I have not checked the hubs and it definately feels as if it is coming from the rear. Will have to wait to get it back from tranny shop to check things out.

might try giving them a call, if they're doing trans. work than more than likely the shaft is out and it'd take seconds to check the ujoints

True story id call them if they already have it down it will save you the hassel and either fix it or rule it out. but if you just got new tires and then it happened its likley the tires. and just for safety alway check your lugz after the tire people i saw the schwabs guy driving a brand new dodge a week ago down our main street making sure the new tires rode smooth it was a customers truck and i watched the front drivers side tire pass him and the hub hit pavment hard and that happens alot more then you would think
