Unhappy 2009 Chevrolet Aveo LT5 The Horror! ***

I have had a tremendous amount of trouble with my 2009 Chevrolet Aveo LT5. I bought it brand new with 50 miles on it. The dealership I
purchased it from closed 3 days after I bought the car so things they promised never happened. I went back to get the repairs done and was greeted by an armed security guard and the whole lot was empty. I paid way to much for this piece of junk! The tires wore out really quick. It pulls to the right It won't go up hills over 10 miles per hour The driver window vibrates. It has a huge amount of road noise inside the car it sounds like you have the window down when you don't. I have been to the shop 7 or more times for a squeak squak STILL NOT FIXED!!! The engine has been compromised it overheated past the H water pump went out. While driving on the freeway the HOLD came on and my car stalled crazy! Oxygen sensor 3 times. Once on 25,000 mile tune up and twice more. I have had the brake switch replaced the clock the door handle sway bar shocks the current issue is, IT WONT STAY ON Ugh! I start the car and poof it dies. I have to try a few more times and really give it the gas for a bit for it to stay started. I am beyond frustrated! I have been working with GM for the past 3 months to get them to buy back this LEMON of a car. I was insulted by what was offered to me what a joke! First I worked with the District Specialist and now the Early response team, GM shame on you! I paid over 17K for this car still paying on it HELLO I do not enjoy going to the dealership to get my car washed or visit with YA'll or driving rental cars. Figure it out! and Please Hurry!

Doesn't this fall under the lemon law? They either have to fix it right or give you another car.
I believe every state has a little different law. Look into it for your state. You can Google it and get the information you need.

Lemon law generally only applies to vehicles that are still under warranty, being an 09 its probably getting close. As it has been stated you should check with your local laws.

Thumbs down Massive Issues 09 Aveo Lemon

WOULD NOT RECOMMEND! Glad they stopped making them
I bought my Aveo april 2009. Test drove it, loved it bought it 7 miles on it. Drive approx 105miles a day to and from work 5 days a week. had to have it taken in to get the o2 sensor replaced 4 times! took it to dealership i bought it from the first time, as it was still under warranty, the 2nd time (approx 3 months later) as the problem didnt resolve itself I took it back, they said its out of warranty by a few hundred miles, i could pay 393$ to have it replaced so i said no you couldnt do it right the first time, you obviously cant do it right this time, I took it to an outside dealership (non chevy) had the part replaced, another 2 months later still not fixed, had it replaced again by a personal mechanic, sensor lasted about 4 months this time... dealership wanted to charge me over 100$ just to tell me whats wrong with it, well it kicks back at me when it "tries" to shift on the freeway and just stalls on me when im doing 65mph... Doesnt shift out of 2nd when its 60 degrees or colder until it runs still for a half hour! Just replaced the 02 sensor AGAIN on my own, and still having issues, called the dealership, they said sounds like a factory wire harness that the 02 sensor runs into, guess what? not covered under warranty! Good thing about my jellybean of a car, is 94k miles later, she gets me from A-B and back... Sometimes. And the brakes are pretty good, havnt had to change them since i bought it. Im trading it in as soon as i get that engine light off and the flashing HOLD light.

I’m sorry you are experiencing this issue with your Aveo vehicle. I would like to look into this further for you. Would you please provide the last 8-digits of your VIN, so I can research my resources?

I have been having many similar issues with my 2009 Chevy Aveo which I also purchased brand new. Currently it is im the shop and I've been trying to get some support and it's been a week now that I've been trying to work with them. I call every week day but my customer service rep never picks up. Could you please take a look at my case?
