I have the Bose system with the Single CD/Radio and whenever I am dirving around my radio sounds like the treble is going up and down. The volume compensation is off and this only happens when listening to the radio not CDs. It does this on all radio stations.

Does it do it on XM?
And have you checked to be sure that it does or does not do this on AM or FM bands?

XM was suffering some problems the past few days with transmitting issues that caused it to fade in and out, they should have that resolved now though.

I don't have XM. It does it on all stations on the FM band, I haven't checkedAM.

Yes, my XM was in and out of service for two days. The AM/FM was working fine. The XM came back on 100% just yesterday afternoon.

Ok then, your problem most likely lies in a radio antenna coax cable connector (underneath the instrument panel upper trim panel) that is not fully seated.

Have your dealer reference GM Document ID #1973305 for the instructions to complete the repair or you can do it yourself easily:



1. Remove the driver and passenger windshield pillar garnish molding (A-pillar trim) and disconnect the wiring harness.

2. Remove the instrument panel upper trim panel and disconnect the electrical connections.

3. Remove the foam tape surrounding the radio coax cable electrical connector C213. Connector C213 is located under the top left side of the instrument panel upper trim panel on all vehicles.

4. Inspect connector C213 and manipulate coax as needed to ensure that the connector is fully seated.

5. Install foam tape around connector C213.

6. Install the instrument panel upper trim panel and electrical connections.

7. Install the driver's and passenger's windshield pillar garnish moldings (A pillar trim) and electrical connectors.
