I live in Ecuador, SouthAmerica, "On Star" doesnt work in my country. Can I change the system (chip) and introduce internet from a local provider to have Google Maps, or Waze in the same screen?

I agree that it's fishy that someone wants to go through the hassled of disconnecting the On*. I also think it's creepy that the government can get access to the information. Don't you all remember how the government tried to use voodoo forensics to send that one gal to prison for killing her daughter. Not saying she wasn't guilty, but the way the government fabricated and spun the evidence was sickening.

has instructions for disconnecting the On* module.

This is an outright lie. And anyone who says that "You have nothing to fear if you aren't a criminal" has absolutely no understanding of the right to privacy, or of the other rights so many Americans fought and even died for.

your welcome.
I learned Americans died fighting over lack of privacy...and other rights. Its a stretch to make a nonsense point and insulting to any veteran.
onstar to american deaths; connect the dots
...anything you won't say to make a point?
