Default Mud Flaps

Hi all,

I had my truck in the dealer, and they where suppose to put in mud flaps. The dealer ordered some but they didn't fit. They said that it is possible that Chevy doesn't make mud flaps for my particular truck. I find that odd. I have a LT3 withthe Z71 4x4 package, fully loaded. 18' wheels with the tubular step. Has anyone installed mud flaps on this kind of truck? If so which one? The only reason I want mud flaps, is because every time I clean my truck, with in 2 to 3 hours, I see splash of dirt on my truck from the 18" off road tires. You would think with these tires, Chevy would have installed them from the factory.

Thanks,

I don't think the molded ones built for 07 Tahoes with and without the running boards will fit if you have flares but the contoured ones might.

I have the molded ones on the rear of my 2007 Tahoe, but unlike my 2002 Silverado I have running boards on the Tahoe and opted not to put them on the front since I did not see the need. I also was not sure how they would fit on there but I may end up going back and looking into putting the front ones as well.

Here is a pre-mud flap picture of my Tahoe. You will need the fronts...

Donnie, you must be the man with all the pictures?

I plan on doing the mud flaps but I was told I can only do the rear as the fronts won't work because I have power running boards?

Anyone know different?

ewwww....I dont know about the fronts at all because I did not get the power running boards with my Tahoe at all. If I am out running around I may try and stop in at a dealership when I am getting a service done and let you know. I could see how it may not work on the front since it looks like it will be pretty tight for me to put them on the front with mine and my boards dont move.
If I find something out I will let you know though.

If you don't have power boards then there is a set of molded fronts that match your molded rears.

Make sure when you order you get the ones designed to be used WITH running boards.

Installed mine after a sloppy ride home from work. Tahoe is kinda dirty. I cleaned the area and put 3M tape down first to protect paint...

Notice the Drill?? Kinda neat to have to drill two holes in a "no Drill" application Oh well. They fit super.

Definitely turn the wheel to get clearance for this job.

Thanks for all of the input. But does this hold true for the Z71. The only really difference on the Z71 is that they have the off road tires, tubular assist steps, and Oversized wheel flares. Do youthink that the mud flaps will fitand protect the mud/dirt on the body from the off road tires. Again all help is much appreciated.
