Default 03 suburban issue

i have a 2003 chevrolet suburban and everything worked fine on it until a couple weeks ago it wouldnt start normally. when i tried to start it, it would start and then a split second later it would turn off, i kept doing it over and over and its the same result. eventually when you wait about 5-10 or 15-20 minutes, it would start normally again. this happens almost every day now and i don't know what to do. can i do something to help prevent it?

thanks guys
