Default The difference between a 2002 Suburban 1500 and 2500?

Hello,

I have a work Suburban that I need to order a part for. It's a 2002 Suburban. I have no idea whether it is a 1500 or a 2500. I have exhausted my ideas trying to figure out which one it is. I have tried the registration, the VIN number (which doesn't come up in a decode) and looking at the outside of the vehicle. Can someone please tell me the easiest way to tell the difference between the two?

Thanks

1500 Suburban had 6-lug wheels. The 2500 has 8-lug wheels.

1500:

2500

You can punch in your VIN and get info for free here. (GM uses a font on the VIN will make you write it down wrong if you are not paying attention.) https://www.vehiclehistory.com/vehicle/land.php

I have a 2001 Chevy Suburban 2500 with the 8.1L (intheburbs is right, the 2500 has 8 lugs.)
