whenever I have changed a fuel pump, I have noticed the contacts on the sending unit are usually covered in a black slime. maybe this product has cleaned the contacts. bad contacts will not make the unit read more than the normal full reading which you said your did.
if that fix works great.
Professionals would never drop a tank to clean the sending unit contacts or even swap only the sending unit on a old pump...unless it was my own.....because 2 weeks later the old pump fails.
