2005 chev uplander transmission
I have been having transmission problems on my van lately. Every time I come to a stop my transmission acts like it is in neutral. I turn it off and back on and I can go forward but with little power. I drained the fluid out and removed the filter. The fluid has a burnt smell to it and there is some evidence of metal filings showing on the magnet. I installed a new filter but before I put the pan back on I noticed that there was cavity with some type of valve possibly and there is a metal part that looks like it is supposed to move in and out to this valve but it looks like it is broken. It is in a cavity not far from the accumulator. I have attached a picture of it, but I have no clue what it is to even inquire about it. Does anyone know what this part is called. I am not sure if it will be accessible once the accumulator is removed, but I have my doubts.
