2019 Colorado Bison vs. Ranger Raptor: Which Truck Will Be Better?

Fourth, the interior on the Bison will feature a comfortable cabin with the Chevrolet MyLink infotainment system. This infotainment system is clearly superior to Ford’s Sync 3 and it really only takes a matter of moments using them to tell how much faster, more responsive and better looking MyLink is compared with Sync 3.
Fifth, clearly, exterior looks favor the ZR2 Bison. While, sure we love our Bowtie’s pickups around here, the Ranger Raptor will likely look pretty dull sitting side-by-side of a Bison. With its badass lettering on the front grille, the winch-ready bumper, and AEV bodywork, the Bison looks amazing. It certainly takes the ZR2 to a whole new level.

The Ranger Raptor will have to do the same and quickly. The stock Ranger is just blah compared to the Bison, and even putting an off-road package on it, the look just doesn’t come close. In fact, we would argue, out of the full-size Raptor and the Bison, the Bison is the better-looking pickup. This means, to us, Ford will have to raise its design game to the current U.S. full-size Raptor’s level and then some.
Sixth, don’t forget the Bison has an automatic, electronically-locking rear differential, 3.5-inch wider front and rear tracks as well as a two-inch lift. These, along with the five AEV skid plates, put it above and beyond the current not-for-U.S. Ranger Raptor and, unless Ford decides to amp it up some, the Bison is going to leave it in the dust.

And finally, the Bison will be on dealer lots in January. What about the Ford Ranger Raptor? Mums the word from Ford. The Blue Oval is still buried in trying to bring the Ranger back to the market it abandoned. With such a badass-looking pickup here now, why wait for the Ranger Raptor? We won’t. We won’t wait for it at the dealer or for it to catch up on the trail, and we doubt you are willing to wait either.
