BUILDUP A Blue Chevy Express Van Project

CF Build

There is just something innately enjoyable about working on a van. Maybe it has something to do with the abundance of space and relatively good performance, or maybe it is just because vans are used so often for working purposes.

Regardless of the reason, the builds that come out of these projects are always quite fun to follow and can be vastly unique. Chevrolet Forum member darkgoatracer has taken on a build with his new Chevy Express, and it is coming along quite nicely!

He had to wait five and a half months, but after finally receiving the ride, we doubt he was at all disappointed. He ordered it with a Flex Fuel 6.0, a 145-amp alternator, a heavy-duty locking differential, and power windows and locks.

He plans to do a composite headlight conversion, get a Go Rhino 3000 brush guard, add strobe lights everywhere, tint the windows 5%, at WeatherTech vent visors, add a Pioneer stereo, add new speakers, add subwoofers, and add in-dash switched for the LED lighting.

So far darkgoatracer has pulled all the wiring for the speakers and strobe lights, installed sound mat on the floor, installed speakers, and more. He hopes to soon get the trailer hitch installed, install a dual battery, and get the sub and rear speaker boxes built.

Go stop by darkgoatracer’s build thread and show your support!
