Unlike their cross-town competition at Ford, Chevrolet has stuck to using V8 engines in the majority of their pickup trucks. If you want fuel economy, there’s the 5.3L V8. If you want performance, you want the 6.2L V8. And if you want even more performance from your 6.2L, you contact the folks at Late Model Racecraft and have them hook you up with their Street Stalker Package.

The 6.2L is no slouch to begin with, making approximately 294 horsepower and 293 lb-ft of torque at the rear wheels. With the Street Stalker upgrade, those numbers increase to a health 334 horsepower and 358 lb-ft of torque.

That would be a noticeable difference in day-to-day driving, as better off-road and towing performance. What else is impressive is that it’s just the beginning of what that engine is capable of doing. General Motors have been making a variation of that engine for decades, and tuners have spent a long time working and refining their craft on those engines

Late Model Racecraft, based in Houston, has an all-motor C7 Corvette that’ll run a 10.66 in the quarter-mile. Check out their website to see what other performance upgrades they can do.
