Johny G’s 1966 Chevrolet C10 Heads to Vegas

Chevy parts showcase will include a visit by Johny G‘s famous 1966 Chevy truck.
Auto parts manufacturer United Pacific is heading to the 2019 SEMA Show to showcase five new lighting products that are specifically for Chevy trucks and cars. And they’re bringing along one very cool Chevy truck: Johny G‘s 1966 Chevrolet C10.
The new products will be on display at SEMA, Nov. 5-8, and include:
- A 7-inch LED headlight with integral LED turn signal/running lamp bar
- A 5.75-inch LED headlight with integral LED turn signal/running lamp bar
- LED sequential taillights for 1955 Chevy cars
- Round, chrome exterior mirror with integrated LED turn signal indicator for 1966-72 Chevy passengers cars (convex surface for right-hand mirror)
- Rectangular, chrome exterior mirror with integrated LED turn signal indicator for 1968-72 Chevy passengers cars (convex surface for right-hand mirror)
“These new lighting features and turn signal-integrated mirrors not only add modern technologies to classic cars, but they increase visibility for the driver and other motorists, which can enhance safety,” said Jai Baek, United Pacific’s marketing and creative director.
LED headlight with Integral LED Turn Signal/Running Lamp Bar
Designed as a direct replacement for the standard 7-inch or 5.75-inch (quad headlight system) sizes of original round headlights in older vehicles, United Pacific’s new LED headlights promise greater illumination and incorporate an LED turn signal/running lamp (amber or white lens) for a more streamlined appearance for custom vehicles and street rods. The headlight plugs into standard housing sockets, while the turn signal/running lamp section requires additional wiring connections for operation.
LED sequential taillights for 1955 Chevy cars: 48 super-bright SMD LEDs add can’t-miss-it illumination for the popular ’55 Chevy. They’re arranged behind red polycarbonate lenses housed in a “custom” one-piece, for a factory look. A sequential function for the turn signals is included and the customer can choose to use it or stay with the conventional signal operation, with a simple flick of a switch on the lighting element. Additionally, a brake “attention” feature is also available with a sequence-once function. Each taillight assembly (sold separately) offers plug-and-play operation with a 1157-type connector. United Pacific also recommends their license plate frame with an LED backup light (part number 50187).
Rectangular chrome exterior mirror with LED turn signal indicator for 1966-72 Chevrolet passenger cars (part numbers 110825 and 110826): Looking just like the original chrome mirrors offered on 1966-72 Chevy cars, these restoration replacements include a discreet LED turn signal indicator, just like the feature incorporated on many new vehicles today. The easy 12-volt hookup for the indicator simply routes through the door jamb and connects to the front turn signal wiring under the dashboard. The left- and right-hand versions are sold separately and the right-hand version has a convex mirror surface for a broader view.
Round chrome exterior mirror with LED turn signal indicator for 1968-72 Chevrolet passenger cars (part numbers 110296 and 110297): Similar to the chrome mirrors described above, but offered in the rectangular shape that was included on some 1968-72 models. Both versions are officially licensed GM restoration parts and include mounting pads for the doors.
1966 Chevy C10 SEMA Show Truck

Also in the United Pacific display at the SEMA Show will be Morgan Younberg‘s 1966 Chevy truck that was created by C10 builder Johny G and features the first-known use of a Cummins R2.8 turbo-diesel crate engine in street truck application. The truck features a complete roster of United Pacific sheet metal, lighting products and restoration parts from the company’s lineup of classic C10 parts.
