Hoonigans prove you don’t need to venture off road to have fun in a Chevy.

If you aren’t familiar with The Hoonigans yet, its probably time for you to get acquainted. Because whether it’s the latest Ken Block Gymkhana video or just a simple day at the office, these guys put out some highly entertaining material. Their mission statement is simple – have fun hooning whatever vehicle happens to be available. So when Ryan Kibbe dropped by in his Kibbetech Prerunner Chevy truck, of course they had to try it out in their well-rubbered lot.

The 2010 Silverado is designed to conquer dirt trails. But that doesn’t mean it can’t tackle a paved loading dock and parking lot, after all. The Mullinex Racing Engines built 418 cubic inch LS pumps out an estimated 640 horsepower. Which is obviously enough to spin all four tires on any sort of surface. And while we’ve seen everything from Ferraris to Pintos smoke up the Hoonigan’s parking lot, this might be the most entertaining performance to date.

What started out as a stock and simple Chevy truck project snowballed into the fire breathing beast you see before you. Kibbe admits that he only intended to slap a set of fiberglass bed sides on the truck. Yet things escalated rather quickly after that. We’d say he made the right call.

First, Kibbe “warms up” the engine and brakes with a series of jumps over a sketchy looking ramp. Then, we’re treated to some obligatory donuts. And for good measure, he ends the session by skating off the loading dock with three tires on the ramp. Highly entertaining stuff, even if it does end with a damaged ramp and a slightly bent control arm. The again, nobody said hooning was easy. Or cheap.
