The Chevy Cruze is Perfect for Tech-Savvy Millennials

As we all know, millennials never really put down their electronic devices. I mean, there’s tons of tweeting, texting and facebooking to be done, right? Well if you’re the passenger anyway. Bad news is using all of those apps will use up all of your data and will cause your cell phone bill to be expensive. Good news is Chevy has you covered.

The all-new Chevy Cruze will get you up to two years of free Wi-Fi service on the LT and Premier versions of the Cruze. The cost for the same service on the L and LS versions of the Cruze has been lowered to a bargain rate.

“A lot of millennials are going to be the ones buying these cars, and they’re the ones using apps and connectivity very often,” says Stefan Cross, a spokesman for General Motor’s Global Connected Customer Experience. This relatively new division shows just how seriously GM, Chevrolet’s parent company, is taking in-car connectivity.

Besides millennials, “the two main demographics I’d say right now are families and then working professionals who are on the road pretty often,” Cross says. What’s even better is that there is initially no extra cost for the service, as part of what Chevrolet is calling the “24/7 Promise.”

The Cruze’s LT and Premier trims get in-car connectivity as a standard feature for either two years or 24 gigabytes of data, whichever comes first. Other attractive freebies come with that promise too, including two years of SiriusXM satellite radio and added OnStar services such as automatic crash response, roadside assistance, turn-by-turn navigation and hands-free calling.

Moral of the story: If you are a millennial, have a family, or you are a working profession, the Chevy Cruze just might be the car for you.
