Exclamation **HELP** 93 Cheyenne 4.3 V6 2WD

Alright guys im at a loss!

I was driving up a hill (nothing gnarly) when i went to give it a little gas because cars were behind me. When i did i felt it kinda kick and a big plume of dark smoke came out my exhaust and it began to sputter a bit and lose power. thankfully there was a turn out at the perfect moment so i thru it into neutral and coasted to a stop and shut it down. i started it just to make sure it would, and it started up but still had the sputtering feeling so i shut it off and had it towed home. im pretty comfortable doing work to it myself but im not sure what exactly this could be. Bad Coil? Oxygen Sensor? Blown Engine?? lol im at a loss and afraid to start it again before i know exactly or have a solid idea.

Ideas or previous similar issues??

198586 miles
still pretty strong
daily driver
had just put in full synthetic 10-30 (i do alot of hauling and live on a mountain so constantly driving uphill so i run 10-30)
