Default 1995 C1500 Starter
Hello! I have an issue with a starter on a 1995 C1500 that I recently picked up and the truck came with a 1988 2500 for parts. Assuming the starter on the older truck is in working order, can anyone tell me if it is interchangeable with the newer truck? Thank you!

Yes, they are interchangeable. It's possible one could have a direct drive and the other a reduction drive. Still interchangeable.
