Default 1995 Chevy 1500 windshield weatherstrip?

I cannot find a solution so I hope someone here has one for me. My front window is leaking near the roof. Is there a replacement pop in/out seal. My existing seal or molding seem weathered and leaks. I contacted two local automotive glass companies who replied that they break the grass in order to replace the seal, since most customers have damaged windshields so it is no big deal.

Any recommendations?

This website has the windshield molding kit:

https://www.rubbertherightway.com/i-...t-5-piece.html

Is that what you need?

That said, the ONE time I had a leak on my 1996 C1500 windshield - and this was 20+ years ago - they told me the same thing - that the glass would likely break if they pulled it to reseal it. The guy at the glass shop was able to seal it for me up under the edge of the headliner, at the top of the windshield, with some black goo, and it has not leaked since.

You may have to just bite the bullet and replace the windshield to do it right.

I would poke around that rubbertherightway.com website and make sure that is the kit you need. I pulled up a 1995 C1500, but there were other seals and rubber for the vehicle aside from the one I gave the link to.

I'm going to use this place for some of the door and window seals on my 1996.

It is indeed a 3 piece solution kit. Before I order I will call them to be sure that the one listed is for my 1995. I removed one of the small pieces displayed in the ad from my windshield's main seal. What a pain it will be to install a new one. I am going to try to cut away old seal and use some urethane to fill voids. Worse case scenario, if the patch doesn't work, I'll have to cut out the complete seal and replace. THANKS>

There isn’t a pop-in seal for most front windshields. To fix a weathered, leaking seal, the windshield usually has to be removed and replaced with a new seal or glass. Temporary fixes like silicone can slow leaks but won’t fully stop them.
