Headlights change possible???
Hello everyone,
is it possible to install the 4 main headlights of a 1988 C / K 1500 in a 1992 C / K 1500 without major modifications? Are the fastenings identical?
thanks

I do not know, I think the 1988's had two separate units on each side, one for high beams in the middle, and then ones for low beams on the outside. I assume that the fastening is different thought because the adjustment of separate headlights would be different than on the latter style where both high and low beams on each side where connected to each other. You could probably compare the two trucks to see though, or YouTube how to change the headlights on each year, and see what kind of difference their is or is not.

I believe you will need to replace the grille along with the headlight assemblies.
At one time I had a 1995 Chevrolet work truck with the single headlight on each side. I bought a new grille and headlights off the internet, and the rep I talked with said he could sell me whatever style I wanted. That was back in 1999, so I can't remember/find the web site I used.
