Default Piston, Bore, Ring, Smoke , Rust

1999 5.7 stock
2010
When I got the truck about ten years ago, it had no rust anywhere not in the engine bay not on engine not anywhere else, the frame was just starting to get surface rust in spots, cherry red exhaust manifolds with no rust on them, coolant in the oil and white smoke out tailpipe
Put intake gaskets on, that fixed the coolant in oil, still had white smoke out tailpipe and noticed water dripping from it as well. Truck sat parked for next two years with monthly idling for 20 min
2012
Didnt notice anything about the exhaust manifolds. Took heads off and noticed the piston top I cant remember if it was either gray paint with lots of black oil specs on it or burnt red, all cylinder bores shiny no rust, all smooth , could still see cross hatch marks in all cylinders, looked new. Metal head gasket looked good. Valve faces were burnt red exhaust valves, intake valve faces barely sooty black, combustion area of head barely sooty black, didnt notice anything on exhaust manifolds. Didnt have feeler gauges for block and head used a straightedge framing square and couldnt pass paper through. Put on new head gaskets only. the white smoke out taipipe was thicker now and water still dripping. Truck sat parked and idled 20 minutes a month next 7 years.

2019
Still no rust on engine block or anwhere else but frame slightly getting rust penetration in spots and
Noticed the nonrust cherry red exhaust manifolds were now covered in rust. I suspect two cracked heads since . Took head off noticed combustion area of head has decent layer of thick black soot and oily spots, intake valves too, the red on exhaust valves still there but starting to get a layer of black soot
So no rust to be seen here .
piston top is black and tarry at the highest quarter of each piston and piston 7 is the worst. Bore has no rust still shiny and smooth and can see cross hatches still. Top ring is visible with enough daylight and is shiny. And no rust there either.
Took exhaust valve 3 and 5 out but not 7 and see no cracks though

Measured the smooth bores with dial calipers and got around 4.004. Havent used feeler gauges yet but from eyeballing the gap it looks like the piston OD is about .012 " less than bore ID. So I filled up each cylinder with diesel and then used sos pad to scrub each piston top for about three minutes and then each bore for about 30 seconds. Took an old torn up sock or two and dried each piston top and bore. Looked nice the piston tops are now back to the original light gray color and the bores are super shiny. Then for some reason didnt oil it. Waited five days and the bores are covered in surface rust and looks like some of diesel spilled into intake valley and into each oil and coolant hole and threaded hole of blocks cylinder head mating area. There was no rust anywhere five days ago.
Took wd40 and steel wool to bores and dried it up, its shiny again.

guess the crank and bearings are rusted now , as well as threaded head bolt holes coolant ports and oil ports around each cylinder, the rings pistons and bottom of each bore, pretty much the whole internals of block is or will continue rusting until it seizes up or rusts through.

thought about pouring 33 percent vinegar 66 water of about 5 quarts into oil , and about 4 gallons in coolant then drain and fill with oil, then drain oil from coolant and fill with coolant.
,only poured about 32 oz diesel all together ,

not sure about the diesel rust that cant be seen, bore smoothness with crosshatches, measurements, white smoke with water drip
ave a new set of heads and metal head gaskets. The truck is already stripped down to the block and its internals but is still on the frame. It has not been registered in over 5 years, they might not even let it get registered at the courthouse.
Im down about it, oxidizing close to the bottom of society is bad enough too. I need help
What would you do? If someone posts a reply interested in out come I will respond with it if still alive, as well
