Default Wheels Lock Up In Reverse Intermittently

I have a 1997 C1500. I recently inherited it from my grandfather when he passed. It's a great truck with low mileage (115k). On two occasions during about two weeks of driving, I put it in reverse, and it is like I hit a wall. One time, it did not back up at all; the second time, it would go back about a foot before stopping. On the second occasion, I pulled forward about a foot and a half, then put it in reverse again. It successfully went backwards and stopped at the same spot as before. It did this several times. I don't think it's the brakes dragging because it wouldn't move back an inch, even when I gave it gas. It also doesn't seem to do it when I've been driving it, only does it when it's been parked for a while. Thanks for any help!

Default

check the rear brake shoes...the linings may have separated from the shoe.
