2000 Silverado 1500 Fuel Rail Hum/ Vibration
Hello everyone! I have a 2000 Chevy Silverado 1500 5.3L V8. I have recently been having a problem with a vibration and humming noise coming from the fuel pressure regulator (FPR) and fuel rail. Let me start off at the beginning.... I was having an issue starting my truck after it would run for a while, so I replaced the FPR. The hard starting went away, BUT now I have this god aweful humming. I can only hear it while my truck in idling. Sometimes it stops, but when I pull the vacuum hose off the FPR, it gets much better. I have replace the FPR three times now. I even went to Chevy and bought their ridiculously expensive FPR. Now I have 2 brand new ones sitting at the house. Never the less, the truck still vibrates and hums. Any ideas? Could the vacuum pressure be to high? If so can it be adjusted? Any help is appreciated.
