Cigarette and Auxiliary sockets issues.

My 2006 Chevy Silvy 1500 won't work with newer devices that plug into the cigarette lighter or auxiliary ports. It's not fuses or wiring issues. I checked everything with a voltmeter right out to the socket. It has something to do with the newer cigarette light plugs on new tire inflator, light, phone charger don't make proper contact. My old tire inflator still works. Nothing else does.
So I replaced a couple of them with this Dorman replacement part. Every device I have now works properly with these sockets. The tool that came with the socket is pretty handy for getting the cover off the socket. Made swapping them out easy. Dorman part # 56547 w/tool.
I also replaced the front auxiliary socket with a USB quick charger setup and it works really well. Quick Charge 4.0 PD Type C and Quick Charge 3.0 USB Charger Socket, AlfredDireck. Off Amazon. Was easy to just wire in and installed in the hole the factory socket was in. Looks clean, almost original.
Basically all 3 of the sockets were useless so they are all replaced now and I have lots of flexibility for powering things.
