My VERY first post here! Im looking to do a 4.8 to 6.0 engine swap! Is it worth it?

02+ lq4 6.0 will direct swap in your truck. I did it in mine and it was no problem. I kept mine stock and had a local shop put a factory tune in my ecm but everything swapped over from the 4.8.

did the trans wiring harness direct connect to the 4l80e?

Sorry for delay in answering.
It was worth it as it is now described as a "Torque Monster". 493 lbs torque and 453 HP at rear wheels.
Yes, I did also have tranny beefed up as well as the diff. Still a 4-60LE, but should have put in an 4-80LE.

I used the 4l60e that was in my truck, but if you use the 4l80e you have to swap harness from 6.0 donor.
