Default New shocks

To follow up on my earlier, and first post, I'm looking for recommendations for new shocks on my 2000 half-ton. The shocks I have on right now are entirely too stiff and rough, especially off-road. I'd like a set that will soften those nasty-*** washboard sections but still be tough enough handle the bigger stuff. I've heard Bilstein and Ranchos are pretty good....any others to consider?

I don't really haul much with our 99 Silverado, but when I put new shocks on, I went with Monroe Reflex shocks all around and I have zero complaints (more importantly, my wife has zero complaints with it's ride & handling).

I always go with Monroe shocks as they are more reasonably priced and I have had better luck with them than I had with Bilstein.
