The light comes on in the dash, the tone beeps, but my brakes are working fine. If I unplug the proportioning valve it stops. Do I replace the proportioning valve, or is there another more likely cause?

Could be a bad sensor. The brake service light comes on when it detects something out of place in the brake system.

I'm fairly sure it is in the sensor on the valve because if I unplug it the light goes off and the tone stops. Thanks.
