Tow mirror install issues 2000 silverado
New to the forum and got a question on installing aftermarket tow mirrors. I bought a set of tow mirrors with the clearance lights and turn signal and heated mirrors. I have the them installed and have the turn signals working. My issue is with where to hook the clearance lights up? I would like it to come on when I open the door and go off like the dome light does. I've searched and googled and can't seem to find anything on what wire to hook to. Everything I find is on 03 +. I'd hook it to the dome light or cyst lights but they are hot all the time as far as I can tell. I'm guessing they are ground controlled as far as on and off. anyone have any ideas or ran into this issue? Thanks in advance
