How do you know it's not belt related? Did you take the belt off and run the engine?

Sounds like it might be a pulley to me.

Frist thing I did was take off all belts and run engine just long enough to verify same noise was still there. Does it in in P and N and all shifts- goes faster with RPM. Just wondering if anyone out there has heard this before and KNOW what it is.

spray brake cleaner on the belt...if the noise goes away briefly, its the belt.
remove the belt and run the engine...if the noise is gone its belt/ pulley related

while the belts off...spin all the pulleys by hand and listen for noise...they should spin quiet with no growling.
