Default 2012 Silverado Frame Rot 😡

I recently took my 2012 Silverado to have a wheel bearing checked. I received a call from the GM master mechanic, who is a friend, who advised me I needed a new truck. He said when he went to lift the truck that the frame began to crush and the back wheels were still on the ground. The frame was so rusted that you could put a hammer through it. He said this is the 4th one in the last month he has seen. I read that there was a recall on 07-13’s for that very reason. I ran the vin and no luck! I have a truck that should be worth $12-$15k that is unsafe to even drive! Is there any recourse besides posting picks all over social media and bad mouthing Chevrolet?? I have been a Chevy owner all my life and just purchased a Ford from the chevy dealership that the 2012 was purchased from!!

*** I am having the same issue with my 2012 Silverado. Not only will the dealership not acknowledge the engine oil consumption issue but they suggested I replace the frame. I can remember a time when "American Made" meant a quality product. Incredibly disappointed with Chevy.

that is because instead of painting the frames like gm did for years they decided that dipping the frames in wax was a better rust preventer..........NOT!!!!!!!!,common problem with the gm frames
