My husband has been on a kick of pulling ethanol out of gas and well he decided to put some of the non ethanol gas in my 2013 Chevy Silverado 1500 LT 5.3L V8 and now it's running like crap my check engine light is on its throwing p0301 bank 1 of 2 cylinder 1missfire my traction/stabilitrak keeps going off and on...so how bad is that gas gonna do up my truck.....very 😡 🤬 😡 🤬 wife

Drain the tank and get all of that gas out of the truck and add good fresh gas and see if that fixes things. If you want non ethanol gas, there are some stations that sell it at a higher cost.

Depending on how much "special sauce" he added you might be able to just get a few or more bottles of dry gas and clean it up. Assuming he didn't get all the water out of his experiment you more than likely have water mixed in your fuel. The dry gas might cure it. Otherwise as jfmorris said, drain the tank, refill tank, add some dry gas anyway to help with any leftover condensation.

Ethanol is an octane booster. By removing it, your husband lowered the fuel octane (to something lower than regular pump gas). Not a good idea. Engine knock can damage your engine.
