Default Painting over factory paint without sanding

I am in need of some guidance.

here is what i have done
-bought a 2007 Silverado that needs a little rust touching up in the rear wheel wells.
-Sanded all the rust off with wire-brush/ 80grit/150 grit
-Primed with self etching primer(aerosol) and some of the spray went on the outside of the fender (not sanded about an inch all the way around feathered to about 3-4 inches.
- painted (aerosol) over all the primed area except for the specs that were cause from the over spray.

now questions.
1) will the paint hold where there is factory paint on without sanding it first?
2) if so what steps should i do next before putting a coat of clear on.
3) if not what do you recommend in as much detail as possible? (newbie here)

additional info.
the color is Olympic white(very white)

And one more question.

Ignoring price differences and new/used, what do you get with the 735 over the 734 model <!--td {border: 1px solid #ccc;}br {mso-data-placement:same-cell;}-->https://drilling-it.com/dewalt-734-vs-735-reviews/ ? I see used ones available, but need to know the differences so I can judge what's worth what.

Thank you very much for your time and please share your knowledge.
