Blind spot/Lane change alert issue
Just purchased a lightly used (19,000 miles) 2022 2500HD High Country and the passenger side blind spot/lane change assist light on the mirror only seems to work half the time. The mirror's warning light lights up when I start the truck which is the test for the system working (per the manual). I read the owner's manual and none of the stated issues for them not working (dirty sensors, etc) are applicable. Strangely enough the manual makes a statement, something to the effect of "they don't work all the time" What??!!
Only thing I have to compare the Chevy system's quality to is my wife's Mazda CX-9, and it has worked flawlessly for the 6 years that we've owned the Mazda. Works 100% of the time when vehicles are in the blind spot/ lane change area
So just wondering what Chevy owner's experiences have been with the reliability/accuracy of their blind spot/lane change assist system?
Thanks

My 2025 Silverado 1500 has a failed alert for vehicles behind the truck. Overall I am not impressed with the way this is done on my Chevy truck. My Ford F-150 was far better in nearly every respect.
My 2011 Silverado cost 40% less than my 2025 Silverado but had none of the loss of features, like rear braking assist, of the newer truck.
