Default ASTRO 97 MODEL- ALTERNATOR TESTING

How to test the refurbished Alternator installed shall be giving enough power to charge battery & run the system?
Does alternator volatge goes little low when A/C is turned ON?
I want to ensure that this rebuilt part shall be O for extreme winter conditions.

Thanks in advance.

An easy way to tell if your alternator is up to snuff, is to start the vehicle, and turn on all electrical loads possible, headlights(high beams), 4 ways, wipers, rear defrost, radio, a\c, blower motor to high, etc. and using a voltmeter, watch the voltage. If it drops below 12.5volts, you alternator may be suspect
