Have you tried to talk with a tire shop yet? I would not know what to recommend, I just wanted to bump the thread up so maybe someone sees it and might have some input.

I run 275-15's on 8 inch wide Center Lines on the rear with a 2" backspace. I bought the car with the same size tires on the original turbine wheels...they were drag radials and rubbed the against the leaf spring when cornering. The BFG's have a harder sidewall and the Center Lines allowed me to add Comp Engineering traction bars. Hope this helps!

Thanks Mike!
As to Chad.....I bought the wheels through Jegs....and the back spacing is 2 1/4" ....sorry!
I still have the factory aluminum 7" wide wheels with the 275's still on them. For a while I ran 235's up front...have those too....do you want'em??

I think the rims were about $150 each....bought them in 2004...too long ago!! LOL!!
As far as rubbing goes....no rubbing at all. The sidewalls on passenger car tires are a whole lot stronger than drag radials....now I can go in circles when doing burnouts!!
The guy that I bought the car from drag raced it....she was fast has hell for about 5 minutes...then it would over heat and vapor lock....now I think it's more reliable than ANY of the cars we own. I let it sit all winter, no trickle charger on the battery or anything. Get in the thing in the spring....crank the engine for about 15 seconds to build up oil pressure, then I pump the HELL out of the gas and turn the key.....starts right up...doesn't have a choke so you gotta baby the throttle til it builds up some heat. Great running car.....thank god I'm not interested in gas mileage though!
Enjoy the summer!! We deserve it!!

I checked on E-bay....then in Hemmings.....those buggers are going for as much as a grand a set....no quality mentioned.
These are in like-new condition....no pitting or off coloring. Still have the OEM Z-28 centers. I don't know how old the drag radials are.....they came with the car. The 235's have less than 1000 miles on then.

I think $500 for everything.
The bigger question is shipping.....it's not cheap shipping tires or wheels let alone BOTH.....I'm in Lake County Illinois, near the Wisconsin border.....how far away are you??

Oh yah...this would also include OEM lugnuts and a set of McGard locking lugnuts.
