Default overheating 350 - help?

long story short, a girl i know who seems to never catch a break needs some
help.

she has a 88 camaro with a 350 from a k5 blazer in it. she has had it running for a couple weeks now and its been overheating. we are going to flush the coolant system and hope that helps. im pretty sure we should do the water pump and thermo. just to be safe but am unsure what temp thermo to get. so...

what temp thermo should i get?
could it be overheating because its a truck engine now put in a car?
what else should i do?

Default

could be a few things

Is there a shroud on the rad?

Right coolant
bad water pump
thermostat
to small of a rad (truck rad would be bigger then a camaros)
kinked hose
leak from hose rad ect
head gaskets

Good luck with it
