So is the ZL1 worth the extra cash or is it better to just buy an SS and put a SuperCharger on it? The wife wants me to sell the '69 and Buy a New Camaro and I was looking at SS's but now I find out the 428hp is at the flywheel, RWHP is more like 380HP.

 

ZL1 is much more than a supercharger brother, its got electronic suspension and all kinds of other rediculous things making it way worth the money. Had I not bought the SS when I did I would have gotten a ZL1. Maybe when they become available used I'll let the wife have the SS and get a Z. Who knows. But its the best bang for the buck

 

Yea, I read a bunch of stuff about the suspension and watched some YouTube videos and comparisons on handling and such. Its not just built to go in a straight line, thats for sure. How do you like the SS? Does it have enough power for you?

 

oh hell yea. i LOVE my SS. no doubt. its powerful as hell. my favorite car ive ever had. i just had to tweak the look a bit with the spoiler and grill. now that you mention it im not sure i would give it up for a ZL1. it would depend. im more than happy with my car, i got it exactly how i wanted it right down to the hurst shifter.

 

yes much more than just a supercharger, brembo brakes, magnetic shocks (licenced by GM to ferrarri) and believe it or not the huge hole in the hood plays a huge part to the down force, yes it is much more than a gussied up SS. It even has a perfect launch control to launch perfect time after time at the dragstrip
