a buddy of mines work at a local mustang shop ELD i might send it up to him to get straightened out and i wanna see it on the dyno!

not a bad idea. with timing, you want 32-34 degrees of total advance, and you want it to come in pretty quick. with an advance light, you can take a reading with vacuum advance hooked up, at idle and at 2000rpm, then disconnect vacuum advance and take reading at idle and at 2000rpm. the difference between the two numbers is the amount of advance from the vacuum unit on distributor. from there, you can start to figure out how much initial timing you need. typically 4-8 degrees, but some motors do like more. just depends . good luck, and let us know how all goes.
