Default Control Module behind Fuel Pump relay

I have a 1989 Caprice Classic and it work great. I am cleaning and painting the inner fenders for apperance reasons. I found a control module that I don't know what it does. It has a number on it 882391. It's about 2 inches square and has 5 terminals on it. It is mounted on the passenger side, on the inner fender bracket that holds the fuel pump relay and fuse. Just curious what this thing does. Thanks

Mike

Well.... I have looked around on the web a little and found that this module is the spark control module. Does anyone know of a place to look to see how this thing works and what the connections are?

Thanks Mike
