Engine Upgrades on 85 Csprice
So I just bought an 85 Caprice. The interior is clean, body and paint are fine. 80k on the 305 V8. I have 3k to dump into the engine. So basically my question is what’s the best way to spend it? |
Depending upon where you live, you are probably not going to be able to do much. This is a computer controlled engine and it assumes certain things, like a 305 V8. I believe that the 305 of that era was a 4-bbl with fair amount of horsepower for the era. I'd tune it to specs and enjoy. I don't see it as a car to do hopped up engines. When you go to sell, its value will be greatly reduced.
Keep it looking all GM original. |
