Engine Upgrades on 85 Csprice
So I just bought an 85 Caprice. The interior is clean, body and paint are fine. 80k on the 305 V8. I have 3k to dump into the engine. So basically my question is what’s the best way to spend it?

Depending upon where you live, you are probably not going to be able to do much. This is a computer controlled engine and it assumes certain things, like a 305 V8. I believe that the 305 of that era was a 4-bbl with fair amount of horsepower for the era. I'd tune it to specs and enjoy. I don't see it as a car to do hopped up engines. When you go to sell, its value will be greatly reduced.
