I recently purchased a 94 Caprice Classic LS with the 4.3L V8 and have discovered that it hesitates slightly when accelerating in a normal fashion.If you step on it it does not do this.Also around 45 -55 mph the motor skips and stumbles repeatedly and just does not run smoothly.The car will haul @$$ otherwise.I adore this car!Help...!

 

Hmmm, could be a number of things. Check the easy stuff first like your air filter. When was the last time you had a tune-up including a distributor cap and rotor? Have you replaced the fuel filter? I would also try a fuel treatment with Techron every couple of tanks or so. After that try the more "tricky stuff" like cleaning your EGR valve or your AIC valve (however, dont use carb cleaner on the AIC).
