Default Transmission Vacuum

I Put a new edelbrock performerintake manifold and a edelbrock carburator on my 1979 caprice classic.
But now it doesn't shift to second gear anymore. I think a forgota vacuum hose to the transmission.
Can anyone tell where on the car the Transmission Modulator is I can't find it.

Default RE: Transmission Vacuum

Do you have any vaccum ports on the carb? I assume you'll have a th350, on the passenger's side look at the transmission, look towards the rear on the tranny, you'll notice a little modulator, should be a line (metal) hooked up there, if not hook it up to modulator. If it is, follow that line to the vacuum port on the carb. If there isn't hook one up. If it's all hooked up and looks good, try replacing the modulator on the transmission. Shouldn't cost much...maybe five bucks?? Also check the detent cable (kick down cable) to make sure it's hooked up right.

I found the vacuum modulator on the tranny. The vacuum hose was not connected. Iconnected it and know it shifts again. Thanks Berend
