Default Captiva Air Con Problems

Hi all,

I have a Captiva 2008 which is giving me abnormal air conditioning in terms of the temperature of the air blowing out of the vents.

To be more specific, the hot/cold air flow from the air con ducts inside the car seem to be all mixed up. There's cold coming out of some ducts and heat out of others and things start to move around when I change the air flow mode, i.e. defrost to center panel to feet etc.
I am told the symptoms are that of a faulty heater tap but I've asked around and this CAPTIVA doesn't seem to have a heater tap so I'm a little confused as to what could be the cause.

Anyone else had the same experience? Any ideas?

Kind regards, Oz
