When my pump went out, I had no indication before hand that it was going to I was driving, then it just died.

Try this. Remove the hose from the airbox to the intake. Spray a liberal amount of starting fluid in the intake. Try starting. If it runs for a second or stumbles, then you are getting spark and it is a fuel issue (fuel pump failure).

the car would still crank over with a bad fuel pump so you can rule out anything fuel related.
-make sure the battery is good. fully charged it should be 12.6volts...the headlights should come on bright. If its in question...many auto parts stores will test it for free.
-if the fault is still there once the battery is rule out:
-find the underhood fuse box. find the starter relay....have someone turn the key to crank/start...the relay should click...report back with your findings.

If you are looking for the best battery tender for your car you can find here

Hi!

A no-crank situation suggests that your problem is battery or starter related?
Is your battery charged? As said, you should have >12V.
What happens when you turn the ignition on? Does your dashboard illuminate?
What happens when you turn the key to a engine start position? Does your dashboard stay illuminated, or it dims?

If your windows, radio or headlights don't work, you probably have a dead battery.

Hope this helps!
