Default 94 Cavalier Z24 Hood Fitment

Hi all,
Has anyone put a Z24 hood(fiberglas) on a non-Z24 Cavalier? Were there any fitment problems?
Any idea if the original 4 cyl. air filter arrangement can be left in place with the Z24 hood?
I'd like to trythis modification so if anyone has a 91-94 Z24 hood they want to sell please contact me.
Thanks for the help.
Regards,
Jim

Default RE: 94 Cavalier Z24 Hood Fitment

I have. Check out my cardomain page for my cavy pics. Sadly, the car is no more. Now, on an 88-90 cavalier, the 88-90 Z24 hood will fit with no modifications. And on a 92-94 cavalier, only the 92-94 Z24 hood will fit with no modifications. If you try to swap years, you will need to swap out hood brackets both on the hood and on the rad support. I put an 88 Z24 hood on my 89 4-cyl cavy and I just pryed off the rubber fitting underneath where the Z24 air intake is and I bought an intake kit from autozone and built my own cold air intake with a heat shield obviously. I still have the hood and all the other Z24 parts that I bought and restored for a future project.
