Advice needed on shims...
Greetings!
On my '96 Chevy Cavalier...
I just returned from getting some front struts replaced, and the mechanic did the alignment check, and my rear wheel toes are out of alignment. He recommended me to change the shims on both sides for alignment purposes.
I then did some research on shim parts, and found that shims come in different thicknesses... .025" and .050".. both at the same price. Which should I get? (psst. I deliver pizzas almost on a daily basis...)
Any advice is welcome.

RE: Advice needed on shims...
...so, golfer,
the mechanic must "purchase" the required shims in order to align the wheels... , or ...
must I purchase two sets of shims, both the .025" set and the .05"?
...I'm after the most cost effective method (and I cannot do it myself...)

RE: Advice needed on shims...
well esb...
bringing the wheels into alignment is not a do - it -yourself project that's why you can't say this size of shim or the other is the one you need.
The place that will dothe alignmentwill have whatever shims required to be used .
For you to buy shims is not really going to bevery much of a cost saving in the overall job.
Besides... you have absolutely no idea which ones and how many will be needed until the alignment is taking place.
