Cavalier doesn't idle in cold
My 2005 Cavalier dies in cold weather, it won't idle without constant throttle fluttering. It was -20 degrees fahrenheit (-28.8 celsius) much of last week and I couldn't get the car to idle. It's a manual so maybe I didn't have the clutch engaged fully or something, but I think that maybe the thermometer may have gone out. The battery may possible not work well in cold weather and the alternator couldn't recharge it quick enough.
Is that while driving or just trying to warm it up?
Yeah- that sounds pretty cold.
Does your throttle body circulate coolant? I imagine it would (never looked at a 4 banger engine)...So you shouldn't be icing up if it is flowing...
