Driver side low beam not functioning

I solved one of my issues on the 2000 cavalier..I found a corroded section in the pink wiring,between the headlights.I respliced that and changed both lights and problem solved..I'm thinking my 2001 has a similar issue because the DRL flicker when put into gear..
